COBA BOS Platform

COBA Server Software is the open Building Operating System platform to enable integration and interoperability of all building systems.

Advanced User Interfaces

COBA Server Software is the BOS platform with multiple user interface alternatives. The versatile client software, remote usage with Web Browser and standard cell phones are all supported. The client software can be installed to unlimited number of remote computers or laptops. The same client software also allows for remote Internet usage of several sites. Browser-based user interfaces are easy to generate automatically for e.g. office rooms, hotel rooms or homes. The solution is extremely flexible and easy to use.

Powerful Platform

The platform expands through the open driver interface to a wide range of existing and future systems. Manufacturers and Integrators can create new device drivers utilizing the COBA Framework. Unlike any other platform, COBA is based on the standard data model to take advantage of uninterrupted data flow from design to maintenance. For example, designs can be imported to COBA in structured IFC format without any manual operations. Furthermore, the maintenance manual applications can utilize the very same data from the COBA Server.

You can run the COBA Server Software on Linux, Microsoft XP Professional®, Windows Server 2003 and other Windows platforms. The hardware platform can be selected depending on the solution type. COBA software takes advantage of latest standard technologies and open interfaces such as XML, SQL, Web Services, HTTP, SOAP, JMS and RMI as well as the latest Sun JAVA technologies.

Licenses for COBA Server Software are available from system integrators and vendors of COBA compliant systems. License price depends on number of connected I/O points, number of allowed concurrent users of the server software and included drivers. Licenses of the client software and browser user interfaces are free of charge.
